The SaaS trap
The SaaS vendor sells low-code customization to close the deal. The upgrade team later calls that same customization the problem. You pay for the subscription, the implementation, the remediation, and the next forced migration.
Owned software capability / Federal + regulated
Real requirements deserve real software. Sovereign Stack is an application foundation you own outright, delivered in fixed-price sprints that each ship a defined outcome.
The commercial problem

AI has made good engineering teams dramatically faster. Billed hourly, that speed works against you. Every hour saved is revenue the supplier loses, so the hours get protected. We fix the sprint price instead, and the productivity gain lands on your side of the ledger.
Use standard products for commodity work. Write real software for differentiated work. Own the seams between them.
The delivery lane
Sprints come in four kinds, each scoped to answer one question about your system. A senior engineer leads every one, with product, user experience, and human testing joining as the work demands. A team of two to four, two weeks, one deliverable.
Boundaries, data model, risks, and a thin-slice plan.
A running increment, source, tests, and deployment notes.
Control evidence, findings, and accountable review.
Hardening, observability, reliability, and less toil.
Five planes of control
Code, accounts, data, costs, documentation: every layer of the system sits in your name, complete enough that another qualified team could pick it up tomorrow.
The source lives in your repository. Inspect it, build it, and change it at will.
Runs in your cloud accounts. No provider-owned infrastructure between you and your system.
Production data, credentials, and model choices stay under your control.
Recurring costs come to you directly from your providers. No hidden markup on inference.
Documentation, runbooks, and infrastructure code: everything another qualified team needs to operate and extend the system.
The commercial model
The sprint charter names the deliverable and one fixed price for it. How many hours it takes is our problem, not your invoice. No role bills at a premium, and no usage charge arrives after the fact. When we scope your first sprint, we’ll walk you through the numbers.
Production hosting and standing on-call coverage are scoped separately. Production inference runs in your account at provider rates.
The exit is part of the product
The license is perpetual, and the application runs without Hunter Strategy. Production accounts stay in your name, so if you ever need to replace us, you can, without rebuilding. We’d rather earn the next sprint than lock you into it.
Plan the first working sliceBring a real constraint
Send us the workflow, integration, upgrade, or production problem that doesn’t fit. We’ll tell you whether it belongs in an Architecture sprint, a Build sprint, or somewhere else entirely.
